Highways

As we move towards a greener low carbon world, highways will play a key role in helping rebuild the economy through sustainable infrastructure development, whilst playing its part in the drive to net
zero.

We have a proven track record in managing all types of highway project from inception through to completion and beyond into maintenance and repair programmes. In England, we are working through the National Highways supply chain to deliver asset improvement schemes planned for the eastern region. Elsewhere, we are supporting Transport Scotland as part of a collaborative partnership with Turner and Townsend and PWC to deliver the Performance Audit Group Framework (PAG). This covers more than 3,400km of roads and 6,000 structures including 1,911 bridges and
footbridges.

Throughout every scheme, we focus on delivering the best road schemes which provide maximum value to local communities. Our extensive experience of collaboration with local highway authorities throughout the UK covers technical approvals for development such as Section 278 Works, new highways and Section 38 Works and Active Travel measures. Our dedicated bridges and civil structures teams has inspected, designed and maintained assets across the UK, helping clients get the most from their existing assets.

Our portfolio also includes multiple development led highway projects for the private sector, often involving advising clients at the public enquiry stage, as well as progressing detailed designs of road layouts and systems for industrial, commercial and residential developments.

We are highly experienced in providing expert consultancy services for air quality, vibration and noise appraisals as part of environmental impact statements, keeping stakeholders informed of the key issues arising from any new road scheme.
Our expert team is passionate about delivering exceptional support for sustainable highways schemes which will help communities to thrive for generations to come.
