46-storey student accommodation tower on La Trobe Street joins Melbourne skyline

Waterman is delighted that construction is progressing well at 303 La Trobe Street, a 46-storey student accommodation development situated in the heart of Melbourne.

Centrally located within Melbourne’s CBD, this enviably-located student accommodation facility looks to provide affordable accommodation for students whilst maintaining quality social and environmental outcomes and a strong sense of community.

Watermans team have collaborated closely with Architect Nettleton Tribe, developer Cedar Pacific, and operating partner UniLodge in the design of the building. Our team has provided the full range of Building Services for the development including Mechanical, Electrical, Security, Communications, Fire, Hydraulic, Vertical Transportation and Environmentally Sustainable Design services.

Waterman Director Brian Mason, said: “I’m pleased to see construction progressing well on this exciting development which will provide a major boost to the student accommodation offering in Melbourne. The development is targeting a 5 Star Green Star Rating which is unique for this style of facility. Through a collaborative team approach, we have been able to help the client achieve a high level of student amenity and fantastic sustainability outcomes. This will help make 303 La Trobe Street both a popular and sustainable place to live for future generations of students.”
