Floral Court won the ‘Architecture Award’ at the American Institute of Architecture’s (AIA’s) 2020 awards. The awards celebrate the best contemporary architecture across the globe, irrespective of budget, size or type and eight projects from India, Denmark, Canada, London and the USA scooped the top prizes.
The prime 85,000 sq ft residential and retail development sits at the heart of one of London’s most attractive districts, Covent Garden. Covering five storeys with a two-storey basement, Floral Court comprises 45 luxury apartments, two restaurants and eight retail units. The scheme saw the creation of a new pedestrian route that transformed the pre-existing private courtyard into a shared public space. Waterman was appointed as the main structural engineers on this impressive development.
