Our team were appointed by the Department of Health as the technical advisor to the State Government to prepare the technical brief, review the submission from the bidders and oversee the design for this new high rise IPU tower and Operating Theatre Department. The technical advisory role included all engineering disciplines, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, hydraulic, and ESD.
This expansion included a multi-storey tower, which was constructed on the site next to the existing emergency department, and ambulatory care area. This increased the hospital’s capacity, with extra acute multi-day beds, ICU/HDU/CCU beds, day surgical beds, new operating theatres, CSSD and car parking
