The Spectrum facility at Citywest Business Campus is a distribution warehouse and associated offices for a print and paper supply business, Spectrum Print Management.
The Campus is one of the leading business parks in Dublin, located on the western periphery of the city and adjacent the M7 motorway. It provides easy access to the national road network and to Dublin Port via the M50 motorway.
Waterman Moylan was appointed to carry out civil and structural engineering for the Spectrum Print Facility. Design of siteworks required our team to work closely with the engineer responsible for the overall estate infrastructure.
The new facility was constructed on a serviced site near the front of the campus. The warehouse element of the scheme consisted of a double bay steel portal frame structure, 10 m high to eaves, providing 3,000 sqm of space.
High storage racking for heavy paper rolls meant that a super flat floor was required to ensure stability during operations and dock levellers were provided at the service yard to the rear of the building. A two-storey wrap around office was also provided to two sides of the warehouse and the offices were clad in an attractive brick and glazed finish.
The campus has been developed to a very high specification, with extensive landscaping and water features creating a very attractive environment.
