Deakin University’s Business School and International Studies Building was a purpose designed facility on the Elgar Road Campus in Burwood. This project involved the construction of two new five-level buildings on the existing Deakin Elgar Road campus, providing approximately 18,000 sqm of classroom, computer lab and staff accommodation.
The buildings were built around a central student hub that was designed to link both buildings with external student amenity and support areas. The project included engineering and ESD services such as low energy hollowcore in slab air-conditioning, rainwater recycling, natural ventilation and solar hot water.
Waterman undertook all design, documentation and construction phase services for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulic, Vertical Transport and ESD engineering services.
