Donabate Leisure Centre

The project provided local community facilities, including a multi-use double-storey height sports hall, gym, snooker room, dance studios, crèche, bar and functions room, locker and changing facilities, saunas, steam rooms and management offices.

Our team worked on the new access road and roundabout, extensive ground level parking and drop-off facilities on the adjacent main road.

The building is in a steel framed structure with stability provided by means of moment connections in the steel frame. The 22m clear span in the multi-purpose hall is supported by curved trusses comprising tubular steel members, which have been left exposed and painted as an architectural feature.
