The Victorian Government has delivered an $800 million redevelopment of the former Frankston Hospital, now rebranded as Peninsula University Hospital.
Delivered in Partnership with Architects Conrade Garget and Bates Smart, the expansive project has transformed services at the hospital, delivering a new tower with 12 levels of clinical services, a new main entrance, 130 beds, areas for mental health and oncology services and 15 new operating theatres.
Working in conjunction with the rising population of Frankston, the redevelopment features expanded women’s and children’s services. This includes new maternity, obstetrics and paediatric wards, a women’s clinic and special care nursery.
The emergency department expansion now provides a mental health, alcohol and other drugs hub alongside the dedicated paediatric zone.
We are delighted to have contributed to the completion of such a monumental project. The project was delivered under a PPP procurement model with Lendlease being the PPP builders. Our team where commissioned for the full design, documentation and construction phase services for the project, including all Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Hydraulic Engineering services. The design was based on 5-star Greenstar and is a fully electric design with 100% fresh air and full heat reclaim.
