Designed by DBI Architects for Wanda Group, the Jewel is a mixed-use development incorporating a 5-star hotel, residential apartments and retail complex located in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. Positioned on absolute beachfront, the scheme delivers over 500 luxury apartments alongside world-class hospitality and leisure facilities.
The project combined three towers into one mixed-use development across an interconnecting podium. The private residences include a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, defined by spacious open-plan layouts, full-height glazing and expansive balconies.
Waterman were engaged by Wanda Group as Technical Advisor across all engineering services, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, hydraulics and vertical transportation.
Our role included review of the design documentation prepared by the Trade contractors and the undertaking of construction quality and commissioning reviews on behalf of the client, ensuring a fit for purpose outcome on completion.
