Mayflower Quarter

Waterman provided the sustainability strategy for one of the largest regeneration opportunities in the UK as part of a dynamic new masterplan for Southampton.

Mayflower Quarter’s 84-hectare site, extending from Southampton train station to the waterfront and adjacent to the old town centre, is set to undergo a complete transformation by introducing a sustainable new, mixed-use urban neighbourhood.

Specialist masterplanners, AR Urbanism, are leading the design team to align with the city’s Local Plan for the future prosperity of its world-class residential, commercial and retail facilities over the next 20 years and beyond. Our sustainability experts worked collaboratively with all the stakeholders to devise a holistic sustainability strategy for Mayflower Quarter, supporting Southampton City Council in plotting a course to become carbon neutral by 2030.
