The New Monash Children’s Hospital is the third largest provider of specialised paediatric services in Australia. The new seven-storey facility has 230-beds supported by four new operating theatres and one procedure room, all built on the existing hospital site.
Our team undertook the site master plan through to full design and documentation for this new 35,000 sqm, state-of-the-art new children’s hospital.
Waterman provided full mechanical, electrical, fire protection, hydraulic, and ESD engineering services design for this project which incorporated new theatres, ICU, CCU, wards and allied health departments. The works also included major site infrastructure upgrade works to support the new building, including chillers, boiler, site high voltage upgrades, medical gas systems, standby generators and rainwater harvesting.
