The new Move Leisure development replaces the existing facilities on the site as part of the first stage of an overall sports precinct masterplan.
The centre includes four new pools; a 50m outdoor pool, 25m indoor lap pool, a learn to swim pool and a dedicated warm water programme pool.
Additional facilities include a new spa, steam room and sauna, indoor water playzone, gym, group fitness and spin studios, accessible and family change village, a crèche and café area.
