St Leo’s TAS and performing arts building is located on six hectares in the upper north shore suburb of Wahroonga, Sydney, and completed an extensive $30m building upgrade.
Designed by Avium architects, the state-of-the-art school expansion included refurbishment of existing buildings and a new three-level building incorporating performing arts and dance theatre, art gallery, music rehearsal rooms, two TAS workshops for woodwork and commercial kitchen areas for teaching.
Our team provided the full engineering design services and construction services for the expansion of the school. In addition, we completed a range of additional building services engineering projects at the site which included refurbishment of the science block, a new fully-equipped library with extensive digital and online resources, study hubs, open learning areas, student cafe and alfresco meeting area; upgrade of general teaching areas, upgrade of overall power supply and upgrade of overall hydrant system. As a part of the overall scheme the chapel and canteen were also refurbished.
