State Netball and Hockey Centre

Published 31st August 2022

The redevelopment of the State Netball & Hockey Centre in Victoria builds on what is already a world-class sporting facility, centrally located adjacent to the Melbourne Zoo at Royal Park.

In order to better cater for women’s sports across all ages and abilities, the redevelopment comprises an upgrade to the existing amenities and infrastructure, including a new front entrance, six new indoor netball courts to replace the current four outdoor courts, a high-performance strength and conditioning gym and an indoor hockey facility to support the new and emerging sport.

The Women in Sport Leadership Centre will also be based on site, in addition to Sports House 2 which is modelled on the facilities at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre that provides a home for peak sporting bodies such as Netball Victoria and Hockey Victoria.

Our experts provided full design, documentation and construction phase services for the project, including Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulic and Vertical Transport services.
