This project consists of a new eight-level Research and Teaching building constructed on the existing Swinburne University campus in Hawthorn.

The Advanced Technology Centre for Swinburne University’s main Melbourne Campus incorporates multiple PC1, PC2 and special purpose Laboratories. The building also houses specialist material handling laboratories, classrooms, lecture theatres and teacher support areas.

The project was designed and engineered to a ‘five-star’ Green Star rating level and incorporates features such as active chilled beam air-conditioning system, primary air and displacement air-conditioning systems, fume cupboard systems, rainwater harvest systems, high efficiency chiller systems, 3C coolers, lighting, power, data and communication systems.

Our team undertook full design, documentation and construction phase services for the project, seeing our specialists provide Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulics, Vertical Transport and ESD support.
