Terra Firma’s acquisition of Hopkins Homes

Following expert advice from Waterman, leading private equity investment firm, Terra Firma, acquired major East Anglian housebuilder, Hopkins Homes.


Waterman’s team provided environmental due diligence support for the takeover, seeing our specialists undertake a portfolio assessment of Hopkins Homes’ main development sites to identify any potential key environmental risks which may have either presented a material cost to progressing a site’s development or represented a significant contingent liability.


In addition, our team undertook a high-level review of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues associated with the business to determine any potential exposure. Terra Firma were advised by Waterman alongside Addleshaw Goddard, Deloitte, Savills and Arcadis.
