Royal Children’s Hospital

Waterman prepared the design brief and undertook the technical advisory role for the State Government.

The project incorporated the technical briefing of all engineering and ESD services for the new 150,000 sqm Children’s Hospital.

Designed by Bates Smart and Billard Leece Partnership, the new hospital has the capacity to treat an additional 35,000 patients each year. The $1 billion project is the largest hospital redevelopment to be undertaken by the State Government, and this expansion will allow The Royal Children’s Hospital to continue meeting growing demand through an increase in acute paediatric beds and emergency department services.

Waterman’s role in the project included brief preparation, bid evaluation, comprehensive design review, design compliance checking, commissioning strategy proposals and final on-site witness testing of commissioning as verification and acceptance on behalf of the State.

Jewel Hotel

Designed by DBI Architects for Wanda Group, the Jewel Hotel is a mixed-use development incorporating a 5-star hotel, residential apartments, and a retail complex.

Freshwater Place

Waterman were engaged on the Freshwater Place project as the technical advisory for the new 80-level mixed used apartment and commercial office development.

Stromlo Aquatic Centre

The Stromlo Leisure Centre includes a 50-metre lap swimming pool, 20-metre program/warm water pool, exercise and rehabilitation zone, splash park and gymnasium.

Ravenhall Correctional Centre

Waterman providing a fully self-contained operating facility including a dedicated secure mental health facility, full administration and support facilities, and full industries and training facilities.

Footscray Hospital

The new $1.5 billion Footscray Hospital will include over 500 inpatient beds, an emergency department, operating theatre suite complex, specialist facilities, and clinical support spaces in addition to teaching, training, and research spaces.

Royal Children’s Hospital Victoria

Our team were engaged as technical advisors and prepared the design brief and undertook the technical advisory role for the State Government of Victoria for this new $1.2B hospital.

Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital

The new $1 billion Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) project delivered a purpose-built cancer research, treatment, care and education facility.

Casey Hospital Expansion

The refurbishment increased the hospital’s capacity, with extra beds, operating theatres and car parking.

Coronial Services Centre

Working with the Department of Justice, our team worked as Technical Advisory for the refurbishment and upgrade of the State Coronial Services Centre.

RACV Headquarters
